DAY 1 Arrival in Hanoi

Xin Chao! Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam.

A warm greeting awaits you at Noi Bai International Airport, where your private guide and driver will meet you outside the arrivals hall and transfer you to your hotel in Hanoi.

Please look for your tour guide holding a welcome sign with your name on it.

While every effort will be made to have your room ready upon arrival, the official check-in time is 02:00 PM, so your room may or may not be available earlier. Your tour guide will provide additional details regarding your stay and will be happy to answer any questions.

The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

DAY 2 Hanoi – Full Day City Tour & Local Food Discovery (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Street-food Dinner)

Today, with the help of your private guide and driver, you will explore the city’s top attractions and sample authentic Hanoi cuisine away from the main tourist trails, enjoying local specialties at atmospheric street stalls.

Morning

Begin with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex, where Vietnamese people honor the country’s “Great Father.” You will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, which houses his preserved body, and his House on Stilts, offering insight into his life and legacy. Nearby is the 11th-century One Pillar Pagoda, an iconic Buddhist temple of historical and cultural significance.

Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university and a revered Confucian temple.

Enjoy lunch at Lan Ong Restaurant, where history, culture, and modern Vietnamese cuisine come together in an intimate setting.

Afternoon

After lunch, visit the historic Hoa Lo Prison (nicknamed the “Hanoi Hilton”), used by French colonists and later to detain U.S. prisoners of war.

Take a fun cyclo ride through the French Quarter, admiring colonial architecture such as the Vietnam History Museum, Metropole Legend Hotel, and the Opera House.

Next, walk to Train Street to watch the train pass through the narrow café-lined alley while enjoying a Vietnamese cappuccino or another beverage.

Finish the day with a walking tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, discovering the vibrant street food scene. Sample local dishes such as Nom Du Du (green papaya salad), Banh Mi Pa Te, and the famous Bun Cha.

DAY 3 Hanoi – Shared Limousine to Sapa (Meals: Breakfast)

Morning

After breakfast, a limousine will pick you up from your hotel for the approximately 5-hour drive to Sapa. Established as a hill station by the French in 1922, Sapa is now a must-visit destination in Northwest Vietnam, known for its spectacular rice terraces and ethnic minority villages.

Afternoon

Upon arrival and check-in, your private guide and driver will take you (40 minutes) to Tram Ton Pass (2,047 m), the highest pass in Vietnam. Enjoy stunning views of the mountains and forests of Hoang Lien National Park.

Take a short trek through the tropical forest to Love Waterfall, then return to Sapa. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

You may stroll around town, visit the Old French Church, or climb Dragon’s Jaw Mountain for panoramic views.

DAY 4 Sapa – Trekking to Hill Tribe Villages (Lao Chai & Ta Van) (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)

After breakfast, meet your local guide and begin trekking through the market, leaving the busy town behind.

Walk along a small path down the valley to Y Linh Ho Village by the Muong Hoa River, then continue to Lao Chai, home to the Black H’mong people, one of the largest ethnic groups in the region.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Continue trekking to Ta Van Village to visit the Zay ethnic group. Learn about their culture, traditions, and daily life.

Return to Sapa by car around 3:30 PM.

DAY 5 Sapa – Fansipan Cable Car – Night Train to Hanoi (Meals: Breakfast)

Morning at leisure.

After check-out, transfer to Fansipan Cable Car Station. Enjoy a spectacular ride to the summit of Fansipan Mountain (3,143 m), the highest peak in Indochina.

Afterward, transfer to Lao Cai Station for your overnight train to Hanoi. You may have dinner at a local restaurant near the station before boarding.

Accommodation: private four-berth soft sleeper cabin with air-conditioning.

The train departs around 20:00 and arrives in Hanoi around 06:00 the next morning.

DAY 6 Hanoi – Ha Long Bay – Bai Tu Long Bay Cruise (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Arrive early in Hanoi and transfer to a nearby hotel to freshen up.

07:45 – 08:30: Depart by shuttle bus to Ha Long.

11:40: Arrive at the cruise lounge and relax before boarding.

12:35: Welcome drink and safety briefing.

13:00: Lunch while cruising through Bai Tu Long Bay.

15:00: Kayaking at Cap La Island.

17:30: Sunset party and cooking demonstration.

19:00: Dinner on board.

Evening at leisure with activities such as squid fishing or board games.

DAY 7 Bai Tu Long Bay – Hanoi – Flight to Da Nang – Hoi An (Meals: Breakfast, Brunch)

Morning Tai Chi and breakfast.

Visit Thien Canh Son Cave.

Brunch on board before disembarkation.

Return to Hanoi and transfer to the airport for your flight to Da Nang.

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Hoi An.

DAY 8 Hoi An – Villages & Ancient Town Walking Tour (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Street-food Dinner)

Cycle to a fishing village along the Thu Bon River (car available if preferred).

Visit Cam Thanh Village and enjoy a basket boat ride.

Continue to Tra Que Vegetable Village, then return to the hotel.

Afternoon walking tour of Hoi An Ancient Town, visiting key landmarks and the Precious Heritage Museum.

Enjoy tea at Reaching Out Tea House.

Evening street food tour.

DAY 9 Hoi An – Leisure Day (Meals: Breakfast)

Free day to relax, shop, or join optional activities such as a cooking class or a tailor visit.

DAY 10 Hoi An – Transfer to Hue

Drive over the scenic Hai Van Pass, stopping at Marble Mountains, My Khe Beach, and Lang Co Beach.

Arrive in Hue and check in.

DAY 11 Hue – Full Day Imperial City Tour (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)

Visit Thanh Toan Village, its historic bridge, and the local market.

Explore the Hue Imperial Citadel and Forbidden Purple City.

Visit the Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities.

Afternoon visits include Tu Duc Tomb, Vong Canh Hill, and a handicraft workshop.

DAY 12 Hue – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Meals: Breakfast)

Fly to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).
