DAY 01: HANOI – NGHIA LO – TU LE – MU CANG CHAI (Lunch, Dinner)

05:30 AM: Shuttle bus and tour guide pick you up at the Central Circus, No. 67 Tran Nhan Tong Street, to depart for Mu Cang Chai (Yen Bai Province) via the Thanh Son – Thu Cuc route. You may stop at Son Tay for breakfast at your own expense. Along the way, take photos at Thanh Son Tea Hill (Phu Tho).

Noon: Arrive in Nghia Lo for lunch at a local restaurant, then continue toward Mu Cang Chai. En route, visit Tu Le Valley. Here, you can try making “Cốm” (green sticky rice) yourself — a delicious specialty to take home as a gift.
Tu Le is often compared to a beautiful mountain maiden — charming from the three-story slope where the region begins, to the misty cliffs and vast rice fields surrounded by three mountain ranges: Khau Pha, Khau Song, and Khau Than.
Afternoon: Conquer Khau Pha Pass, the longest and most dangerous pass on Highway 32, known as one of Vietnam’s “Four Great Peaks.” In the ripe rice season, the Khau Pha Paragliding Festival takes place here, offering stunning panoramic views.
Visit the terraced fields of Che Cu Nha, Che Xu Phinh, and La Pan Tan – national tourist attractions famous for their breathtaking landscapes and H’Mong ethnic culture.
17:00: Arrive in Mu Cang Chai town, check in at your Thai village homestay to rest.
Evening: Dinner at a local restaurant featuring Northwest specialties, then enjoy free time exploring Mu Cang Chai town by night.
Overnight at a Thai ethnic stilt house (homestay).

DAY 02: MU CANG CHAI – NGOC CHIEN HOT SPRING VILLAGE (Breakfast, Lunch)

Morning: After breakfast and check-out, visit:

Horseshoe Hill (Sang Nhu Village, ~2km from town): a stunning crescent-shaped terraced field where golden rice glows like a magnificent woven carpet.
Bamboo Forest Mu Cang Chai: an enchanting site reminiscent of Chinese or Japanese martial-arts movie settings, surrounded by fresh mountain air and serenity.
Noon: Lunch at a local restaurant in Mu Cang Chai.
Afternoon: Depart for Ngoc Chien Village, stopping to photograph Ban Luot and Muong Chien Villages, located at an altitude of ~1,800m above sea level. The area offers wild beauty, unique customs, and friendly Thai ethnic residents.
You will also witness the traditional nude hot spring bathing of Thai villagers — a rare and authentic cultural experience. The mineral springs (50–70°C) are believed to have health benefits and help relieve fatigue after long journeys.
Evening: Enjoy dinner prepared by the hospitable Thai people, featuring “strange but delicious” local dishes and traditional rice wine.
Overnight at a stilt-house homestay in Ngoc Chien.

DAY 03: NGOC CHIEN HOT SPRING VILLAGE – HANOI (Breakfast, Lunch)

Morning: Wake up early to enjoy the pristine mountain air and relax in the hot spring. Breakfast with traditional dishes such as sticky rice and smoked buffalo meat. Take a short walk around Ngoc Chien Village.

Noon: Lunch at a local restaurant, then depart for Hanoi.
Evening: Arrive in Hanoi. The tour ends. Tour guide says goodbye and hopes to see you again on future journeys.
Note:
  • The itinerary may be adjusted depending on actual conditions but will still ensure all main attractions are visited.
  • If you have a flight after the tour, please book a departure after 9:00 PM to avoid traffic delays.
